Fed up with the way America is being governed these days? Tired of having to choose between two parties who don’t actually do anything to fix this situation?Well, you’ve come to the right place, because so are we.

This site is dedicated to making positive change in “the system” as was intended: By wielding our votes to force our elected officials to act on the will of the people, for whom they are mere stewards of the reigns of power. The true power is with the people.

Always ALWAYS remember: It’s YOUR government, and it’s supposed to serve you and fear you, not the other way around!

Have you noticed that in the last few presidential elections the people have been split right down the middle almost 50/50? We don’t think this is an accident. It looks like a classic case of “divide and conquer” to us.

So what do we do about this?

The one advantage we have in a democracy that is nearly evenly divided like this one, is that it doesn’t take a whole lot of votes to push an election one way or the other.

So a group of fed up people who don’t see much of a real difference between the two sides can make all the difference.
At this point it’s so bad that we might as well pick a single or a few issues and then offer our votes to whichever party will actually DO something useful about them - BEFORE the next election.

That last part is key - BEFORE the next election. We must demand action on their part FIRST or all we will get is lip service; business as usual.

Over the next few weeks and beyond, I will be creating and refining a list of the things(issues, problems, injustices, etc) that are causing we the people the most agony and grief in this great country of ours.

Examples of these would include the complete travesty that is health care(or more properly “sick care”) in this country, government intrusion and power grabbing under the guise of providing (a false sense of) security for us at the expense of freedom(the whole big brother thing), the moronic, corrupt, and wasteful “war” on “drugs”, the (un)patriot act, corporate law giving fictional legal entities the same rights(possibly even superior rights by virtue of money being ruled free speech by the supreme court), the patent system which serves to stifle innovation and progress now; more so than it’s supposedly original intended purpose of stimulating it, the copyright system which has turned our shared culture and heritage into a pay-per-use control system, and many others to follow I’m sure.

I’ll be doing separate pages linked to from the left hand side of this blog to address each of these issus in their own forum, and saving the main page here to tie it all together.

Sign on, pick a name for yourself, and contribute your thoughts and ideas. We only ask that you be thoughtful, honest, and where possible practical in your suggestions.

I’ll be writing more later on the core philosophy, but essentially the idea here is that neither of the two major parties gives a crap about the actual average people anymore except to pay lip service around election time. Then after the election, it’s back to business as usual.

THAT CRAP STOPS RIGHT HERE. And NOW.

The plan is to band together and use the vote to force politicians to do the things they should have done years ago in the name of freedom and justice, and simply what is right and good. For years I expected “them” to fix everything and work to further these things.

One day I realized this is not going to happen by itself.

We ARE them, and it’s up to us.
