MarkWells grew up in the western US and Canada. He graduated high school at the top of his class in American Samoa, and went on to college there and later in New Mexico where he studied Molecular Biology and Computer Science.

He currently lives in the Seattle area where he is an independent consultant and sometimes poet.

He has a great girlfriend and a daughter of whom he is quite proud.
